Juan C. Ovies
Associate Attorney
Juan Carlos Ovies joined the Law Office of Dan Park in 2020. He is a member of the Puerto Rico State Bar. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from the University of Puerto Rico and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Law. From 2008-2013, he served both, state and federal governments, including time serving as a state and federal criminal prosecutor.
From 2013–2015, he was in private practice. He has been practicing immigration law, exclusively, since 2015.
He handles a wide array of cases in removal defense, humanitarian petitions, family-based immigration matters. He represents clients before the Immigration court (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Dan D. Park
Principal Attorney
Attorney Daniel Park is a native of South Korea, but has lived and raised in his formative years in South America, Santa Cruz, Bolivia where he lived from the age of seven to nineteen in the City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. He finished his secondary studies at a private school.
He graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Southern California in Political Science and History. In 1998, he graduated from the University of San Diego with a Juris Doctorate. The lawyer is admitted to the Bar Association
Attorney Park received several scholarships as well as awards during his college for his volunteer activities from the Speaker of the California Assembly and Los Angeles County. In 2003, the Bolivian-American Chamber of Commerce honored Lawyer Daniel Park for his business work and for being a pride to the community. Attorney Park is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Daniel Park relocated to the Washington DC area to open his own law firm. At the same time he started his own radio program called “The Immigration Law” on the Continental Radio station 1390AM, which airs on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Currently the program is broadcast simultaneously on La Campeona Radio 1420AM and Continental Radio 1390AM. He has been interviewed on numerous occasions by TV Azteca for its national news program on immigration issues, and has been a frequent guest for Washington DC Mega stations, Que Pasa Radio from North Carolina, Radio Latina from Washington DC, and La Invasora from Greenville, North Carolina.
Orly Jacobovits
Associate Attorney
Orly Jacobovits joined the law office of Dan Park in 2016. She handles a wide array of cases such as Removal defense, humanitarian petitions, family based immigration matters, cases with complex crimigration issues, custody cases and uncontested divorces. She represents clients before the Immigration court, the board of immigration appeals, U.S. Citizenship and immigration services, and Virginia state courts.
She is passionate about immigration law and a tireless advocate for her clients. Her desire to practice Immigration law stems from her family history. Her parents and grandparents suffered political and religious persecution in Eastern Europe and came to the U.S. as refugees.
Orly graduated from New York University with a degree in sociology. She worked as a community organizer in Boston for several years before attending law school at New England Law Boston. Orly
She speaks excellent Spanglish and she is a member of the Virginia state bar.
